A Meeting

Izuku walked down the sidewalk toward the mall. The Sports Festival had concluded and people were getting ready to leave for their week long internships on Monday. Izuku needed air so he went for a long walk, letting his feet carry him. His hero wasn't one he looked up to or even wanted to be with. A crooked man on the payroll of the League. Shigaraki had his own training in mind for the week so they made sure to give Izuku a hero who would fake a report of glowing praise. The green haired teen ran a hand through his messy hair with a sigh. He had actually looked forward to interning with a real hero. Even if it wouldn't be for the long run, he could pretend to be a hero for a week.

That wasn't happening now.

As he passed an alleyway, he heard something. A voice demanding money and the sound of a whimper. He turned and walked down the alley. He knew this was a bad idea but he couldn't stop himself. It sounded like someone needed his help.

As Izuku made his way down the alley he'd be able to see the scene. A young woman, Fuyumi, was backed up against the wall, her assailant was a man with a heteromorphic quirk. He was tall and muscular with four arms. One of those extra hands was grabbing onto Fuyumi's wrist so she couldn't simply run away and another was holding a knife to her neck.

"Come on lady I don't have all day. Hand over the valuables and maybe I'll let you go." The over-sized man said some menace in his town.

Fuyumi let out another whimper. With many heroes distracted with the sports festival it could be some time before they check back here. Yes she has a quirk, but she didn't train it that well. Even if she tried to use it now that knife could still sink into her neck.

Izuku stepped close to the wall and watched for a second. The two-bit criminal was holding up someone who looked almost familiar. No. That could wait. First he needed to deal with the threat. His shadow split and reached out to touch the other shadows in the alleyway until they hit the thug's shadow. He solidified all of them and suddenly dozens of thin tendrils launched at the villain. They wrapped around his four arms, legs, and his neck before pulling hard. The shadows slammed the thug int the wall opposite of Fuyumi.

"You have such an amazing Quirk and this is what you do with it? You're pathetic," Izuku said as he stepped out of the shadows.

"What the-?!" The villain exclaimed as he was suddenly grabbed and thrown against the wall before he could even really react.

After a few moments of panic the girl with the white and red hair had enough sense to run behind her rescuer. However she wasn't leaving for her own reasons.

The villain rose to his feet letting out a snarl "Don't think you're hot stuff just because you got a cheap shot on me kid." Then like an idiot he ran right towards Izuku to attack him head-on.

Wrong move thug. Izuku stood his ground until the last second. He was fast as he moved under the arm that tried to strike him. The tendrils struck again, this time snapping at the back of the thug's knees. He knew the legs would buckle. Once he was falling, the shadows underneath the thug would form a pillar to slam right into the villain's check and hit him into the wall again.

The thug is caught totally off guard, falling to his knees and then immediately getting knocked back into the wall. He looked up once he got his bearings and glared at Izuku. The villain let out a growl and immediately started charging forward more like an animal than a human using those six appendages for leverage.

However before Izuku did anything he would see the woman he saved step beside him holding out her arm. She let out a shaky breath and there was a sudden rush of cold. It burst out and covered one of the villain's arms rooting him to the ground.

That seemed close to the woman's limit however. Her arm was covered in ice and her breath was easy to see despite it being warm outside. "You're one of Shouto's classmates, right? T-they'll go easier on a civilian protecting themselves. So let's say I did all this and you found me after, okay?"

Granted it wasn't over yet the villain was struggling to smash the ice and get free.

Izuku was beginning to become upset. This villain didn't know when to back down. Maybe with training and discipline he could be good. Great even. He was too angry. Too determined to try the same approach over and over again. Too much like Kaachan. He could see the blond idiot in the villain. It was like staring at the angry blond, rushing him over and over. He was going to make the next attack hurt. Make it scar and bleed.

Except Fuyumi acted. He blinked as his self-induced fantasy was destroyed. He looked back at her and he nodded. Both to her question and suggestion. He released control over the shadows and let them return to their original positions. He pulled out his phone and dialed the police.

"You are very brave. Standing up to a villain like that. You must be Todoroki-kun's sister. Am I right?"

She nodded in turn "That's right. I'm Fuyumi Todoroki. It's nice to meet you." Despite looking quite chilled she gave Izuku a warm smile.

"After we talk to the police do you want to go get something warm to drink? It's the least I can do and obviously I could use it too." She waved her ice-covered arm to emphasize her point.

"Though I think you're the brave one. Running in to help me even though you're not a licensed hero yet. It's how a hero should be."
